An investigation into the Midpoint theorem

Students should move point E until the lines are parallel. They will need to use their knowledge of corresponding angles to determine when lines are parallel. The converse of this theorem could also be investigated - by making the segment DE parallel to the base, learners could discover that the side AC is bisexted
