This GeoGebra applet demonstrates the disk and shell methods to find volume of solid of revolution about x-axis and y-axis. A function may be entered in input box for function, and left and right x-limits in the other two input boxes. Slider may be used to increase or decrease number of disks/shells. One can compare with solid of revolution by selecting appropritae surface of revolution. To see the surface of revolution about either axes only, select minimum value of the slider (n = 1) and make appropriate section of surface.
