Lets students experiment with vertical and horizontal dilations of a parent function.
Note that the parent function is NOT one where some vertical and horizontal dilations are equivalent(y = x^2, for instance, where a vertical dilation by a factor of 4 is equivalent to a horizontal dilation by a factor of 1/2).
