This applet is designed to allow students to explore how the coefficients of a quadratic equation affect the shape and location of its graph. The applet can be used to enable students to discover a formula for the axis of symmetry equation, or to use the formula and see the results.
By varying the leading coefficient, students can also discover its properties.
This applet only allows integer values for the coefficients. A similar applet allows rational number coefficients.
