The equation in standard form of a horizontal or vertical Parabola with its corresponding graph when changes to the Focal Distance and Vertex are applied. I did not figure out how to cancel the double negative in the equation, but this creates a window of opportunity to show students why the signs of the x and y components in the vertex change when they are included in the equation.
