Similar Circles Investigation

You will investigate a powerful fact about circles today! Exciting, yes I know! The circle on the screen is the pre-image (the circle in black). When you move the slider on the bottom left of the graph, you will see a red circle or the image. While investigating, answer the following questions: 1) How does each image circle relate to the pre-image? 2) What is the radius of each image circle? How does the radius of the images relate to the pre-image radius? 3) Explain the relation between the circles. 4) If the point (√3/2 , 1/2) is on the pre-image, then find its image on the circle where the slider is 2.
