This applet investigates the solid of revolution generated by revolving the region bounded by [math]y=x^2[/math], [math]y=0[/math], [math]x=0[/math] and [math]x=2[/math] about the y-axis. The user may choose to see the approximating element for computing the volume using the method of cross sections or using the method of shells.
