Graph of Squares and Their Areas

In this sketch a point is defined using two variables- the side length of a square and how it affects the area. The x-coordinate is the side length of the square, while the y-coordinate is the area of the square. Students can change the size of the square and it will trace the point. This allows to discover the relation between x and y.
