This material requires guidance. The relationships are not immediately obvious. Encouragement to spend time on task may important for students who are not immediately curious. Perhaps making up games with more immediate goals will help. For example, challenge the students to figure out how to arrange the data points so that all the parts of the box are all the same length. Or asking them to look at the affects of moving the first data point to the other end of the list.
