I used the Envelope Method to construct the ellipse. First I created a circle. Then I made a line connecting A and B and put a point on it (C). Next, I made a segment connecting C to a point on the circle (D). I then made a perpendicular line to this segment. Finally, I traced the perpendicular line and animated D.
