Students will derive the equations of hyperbolas based on given information detailed in a sketch. Students will also name given parts of the conic section and describe what is known; students will have to discern what particular pieces of information are necessary in order to derive the equations. Equations will be expressed in either parametric form or standard form. The ellipse/parabola/hyperbola tool has been removed from the toolbar.
