Applet contains a button which generates a new function. Students then move 9 points up and/or down (as much as they need to) so that the lines displayed (either directly above or below these 9 points) become tangent to the graph of the original function displayed. The purpose of this applet is to have students better intuitively understand, given the graph of an original function, how to construct the graph of the derivative of a function.
