The variable area of a constant perimeter rectangle

The maxim area of a rectangle having variable dimensions but a constant perimeter is attained when the rectangle has a square shape. We can prove this thing with the help of the arithmetic and geometric mean inequality, but also as an application of the quadratic function modeling this area.
