Move the yellow point!
It is easier to show the curve by constructing it from the circles, and then trace the midpoint M or use the Locus-tool. If doing so, the movement of M becomes asymmetrical. For that reason, this construction starts with a point M moving along the curve. The circles/segments/points are then constructed from this point, only to display the mechanism.
