Shulba Sutra and the Pythagorean Theorem

Is the Pythagorean Theorem really attributable to Pythagoras? There is considerable evidence now to show that the Babyloneans and Hindus were aware of "Pythagorean Triples" and the relationship between the sides of a right triangle, much before Pythagoras. This step-wise animation illustrates the application of the relationship between the sides of a right triangle, as found in the Indian Shulba Sutra circa 800 BC, some two hundred years before Pythagoras.
