Envelope of sound waves

When two musical notes of close frequencies are played at the same time, it often sounds like a very low frequency wave is being played. The reason that happens is the superposition of sound waves. The low frequency sound we hear is actually the envelope which has a frequency equal to the difference of two different notes. Explore the different envelope waves with different pairs of frequencies in this worksheet!!
