Discovering the Pythagorean Theorem
Find examples of different triangle types (acute, obtuse, right, equilateral, isosceles and scalene).
For each, record whether the sum of the areas of the smaller squares is <, =, or > the area of the large square.
Look for patterns.
Think about why the patterns might be true. What's going on?
