Graphing Absolute Value Functions

Explore graphs of absolute value functions of the form f(x) = a|x – h| + k. Change the values of a, h, and k (integers only) and compare the graph of the function to the graph of the parent function f(x) = |x|. You can also practice writing functions by showing a random graph of the form f(x) = a|x – h| + k, then check your equation by using the sliders to see if your function matches the random graph shown.
