Leading Coefficient Test

This applet allows you to manipulate an odd-degree polynomial (cubic, [math]f(x) = ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d[/math]) and an even-degree polynomial (quartic, [math]f(x) = ax^4 + bx^3 + cx^2 + dx + e[/math]). Please note that whatever you do to the cubic polynomial, its end behaviors are always different (one end goes to [math]-\infty[/math] while the other end goes to [math]+\infty[/math]). Regardless of how you change the quartic polynomial, the end behaviors are always the same (both go to [math]-\infty[/math] or both go to [math]+\infty[/math]).
