Optimum kicker position of the rugby ball to convert a try

This task investigates the best position to place a rugby ball in order to convert a try depending on where the try is scored. The task uses circle theorems and geometric proof to show where the ball should be placed, and then a rule is found connecting the distance of the kick from the goal-line and the distance from the post where the try was scored. This task was used as an MYP 4 assessment, against criteria C and D, but could be used with MYP 5 as a criteria B, C and D assessment if less guidance is given.
