This worksheet generates a random transformation of a function. The original function f(x) is shown in black; the transformed function g(x) is shown in blue. The original function is the upper half of an ellipse with a short slanted line appended to the right end in order to distinguish between horizontal and vertical reflections.
Note that this worksheet will not generate a combination of horizontal stretch/shrink with horizontal shift as this combination tends to be the most difficult to figure out. It may demonstrate a horizontal stretch/shrink if the horizontal shift = 0.
