Reflection vs. Translation

A translation of a polygon along a vector is equivalent to a reflection of that polygon across a line perpendicular to that vector and 1/4 of the length of the vector in the direction of translation followed by another reflection across a line perpendicular to the vector and 3/4 of the length of the vector in the direction of translation.
