Euclid's Elements - Book III, Propositions 28 and 29

In congruent circles, congruent chords cut the circle into two pairs of congruent arcs. The greater arcs are congruent to one another and the lesser arcs are congruent to one another. In congruent circles, chords that cut off congruent arcs are congruent.
