Who needs the distance formula?
Applet helps students clearly see that they can use the Pythagorean Theorem to calculate the distance between any 2 points in the coordinate plane. Clear hint checkboxes are provided, as well as a checkbox to show an exact distance (written in simple radical form) and an approximate distance.
