Correlation Experimentation

Have students experiment by moving the ten data points and watching the impact on the correlation coefficient. Good experiments for discussion: See how an outlier affects the correlation. See how a curved graph (parabola or exponential or sinusoidal, for instance) affects the correlation. Try arranging the points in a horizontal line.
