I'm a math professor at Humboldt State University, where I work primarily with current and future teachers.
The way I use GeoGebra to explore symmetry in Escher's works is the same way that I use GeoGebra to monitor markings on my skin (I have a history of melanoma). I used GeoGebra to determine how much of a hedge I would need to remove in order to put an RV in an especially tight parking space. I used GeoGebra to design a renovation for my garage and a desk for my office. GeoGebra helped me decide what house to buy. I use GeoGebra for math research.
A colleague once said I used GeoGebra to do my dishes. It was almost true: I used it to plan a decorative arrangement of dishes for my mother-in-law's kitchen.
But mostly, I use GeoGebra to build applets for people who want to think about math in new ways.
