O Instituto GeoGebra Portugal ([url]http://www.geogebra.org.pt/[/url]) tem como o objetivo de desenvolver o ensino e aprendizagem da matemática com o uso do GeoGebra. Nesse sentido colabora com diversas instituições no sentido de promover encontros de formação para professores. Também tenta investigar e desenvolver novos usos do GeoGebra, nomeadamente no ensino da matemática.
O instituto conta com várias publicações, salienta-se a publicação para Ibooks gratuita e disponivel em [url]http://goo.gl/Y8ugJZ[/url]. Na área da investigação já contamos com várias publicações, à título de exemplo salientamos a publicação na revista Indagatio Didática [url]http://revistas.ua.pt/index.php/ID/issue/view/169[/url] e na revista eletrónica SensosE [url]http://sensos-e.ese.ipp.pt/?page_id=4540&volume=2&num=1[/url].
Internacionalmente o instituto colabora com os Institutos GeoGebra da Espanha e com a Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Há também uma colaboração estreita com a Associação de Professores de Matemática.
Uma das atividades do instituto, com mais impacto, são os encontros anuais. Nos últimos anos os encontros têm-se realizado nas cidades do Porto, Aveiro, Lisboa. GeoGebra Institute Portugal has as objective to develop the teaching and learning mathematics with the use of GeoGebra. In this sense the IGP collaborates with several institutions to promote training meetings for teachers. It also attempts to investigate and develop new GeoGebra uses, particularly in mathematics teaching.
The institute has several publications, emphasizes the publication for iBooks free and available at [url] http://goo.gl/Y8ugJZ [/url]. Internationally the institute collaborates with GeoGebra Institutes of Spain and the Catholic University of Sao Paulo. There is also a close collaboration with the Mathematics Teachers Association.
One of the activities of the institute, with more impact, are the annual meetings. In recent years the meetings have been held in Oporto, Aveiro, Lisbon.
