I am writing a research paper showing how dynamic maths simplifies the engineering design of railway and road alignments. GeoGebra has been used to explore, develop and test the proposed methods. Surprisingly, dynamic mechanisms have been uncovered that give precise solutions to problems currently solved by complex and obscure algebraic methods, demonstrating that dynamic maths is not limited to teaching but may become a useful research tool as well.
