In 2006, we had the unique opportunity to bring Dr. Markus Hohenwarter to Florida Atlantic University as a Visiting Professor for two years and add a very special research component to our existing MSP project funded by the National Science foundation. The goal was to: Continue to extend and develop GeoGebra. To have Dr. Hohenwarter interact very closely with our participating teachers and use our classes as site for future math and science education development and extensions of GeoGebra. To have Dr. Hohenwarter strengthen our efforts towards making our participating teachers even more technology literate. To have Dr. Hohenwarter help train our Master Teachers in such a fashion that they become technology leaders and resources for the school districts and assist in developing special programs for k-12 technology use. As a result, we have highly experienced and certified GeoGebra presenters and trainers who provide training and support for teachers, and give presentations at the local, regional, and national level.
