Applet shows the plot of Depth vs Time for a Circular Water Tank being filled at a constant rate.
This applet is a useful exercise for pupils to learn how to model real world problems.
In this case, pupils will realize while it is difficult to express simply the function of depth of water in tank with respect to time,
and it is not too difficult to model the problem parametrically using the angle that the chord of the water surface makes at the centre of the circle.
Prior knowledge required include : trigonometry, area of sector formula using radian measure, graphs of functions.
