Cerritos College Students in MATH 225,
I would like to start posting about Geogebra to help explain or create a "simple tutorial" to get you and myself familiarized with the Geogebra syntax. They aren't as intuitive as Desmos, but the very reason for the cumbersome procedures is actually because we are having to use multiple variables for the 3D space, and because a 3D space now allows us different objects not available to us in a 2D region. In particular, our textbook makes a note of it at the top of page 834...that the context of our work space dictates whether y = 5 is a line or a plane...and that is something that makes graphing a line in 3D more involved, IT IS the reason why we wait till 12.5 to graph them....in other words, prior to doing so, we need to develop the tools (vectors, parametric functions) to build anything, and so I too am learning that creating what I want visually, even though simple, now requires more care.
