I am a physics professor at Liberty University in Virginia. I earned a PhD in theoretical biological physics from Purdue University in 2005. I enjoy bicycle racing and still race at the elite level and am a national champion. I enjoy classical guitar on which I prefer to play Baroque era music. I play improvisational piano and like contemporary music on that instrument for some reason. I travel a lot with my family in a classic Airstream motorhome. We have been across the US 16 times. Besides working as a physics professor, I have worked as a vehicle dynamics consultant, an Android developer, and a guitar instructor. A few years ago we took up sailing as a family, so the motorhome has gotten a rest for a while. We like long trips and have sailed lake Ontario, the Atlantic around Maine, Chesapeake bay, and other places.
